Reporting Damages

We regret that you have had shipping-related damages. We know that you have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of your hidden door and how frustrating it is when it is delivered with damages. We are here to help you resolve it as quickly as possible. Filing shipping damages and dealing with freight claims can be frustrating, so we will take it up with the freight company on your behalf. Freight companies are third-party entities, HAWD does not guarantee their services, which includes, but is not limited to delivery scheduling. If you have a complaint about their services, we would encourage you to contact the freight company's customer service department which can be found on the delivery receipt and/ or their website.

Disclaimer: The freight companies have a strict protocol which is outlined in an email we sent to you with your shipping
notification. While we will do everything we can to make the process as easy as possible, Hide-A-Way Doors is not monetarily liable for any denied claims under any circumstances.  The most common reason for denial: Damage Claim was not filed in the properly allotted timeframe.

If it has been 5 business days or less since you have accepted the shipment you can file a damage report below

Concealed damages are very difficult to prove, especially if you accepted the package. Freight companies will assume that the damages occured after the delivery was made ultimately rejecting your claim. The freight companies will not accept internal damage claim after 5 business days. If you discovered internal damages within 5 busines days please file a report asap, we will be in touch. Please file a damage report below

Filing a Damage Report

The freight company's terms of use allows for a maximum 5 business days to report any damages. After the allotted time has expired the freight companies automatically assume the damages occured after the delivery was made, therefore will not accept any claims
