We ordered this bookcase door for a secret kid's space. Since kids can be tough on things, I thought it would be best to order the heavier duty backing. It looks like it could withstand getting hit by most any toy, etc. Pleased so far!
The electronic strike and thumbprint reader kit is definitely the way to go. I concealed my fingerprint reader behind wall art. The exit button from the inside provided a level of comfort knowing that I can get out. My system is set to auto unlock if the power should ever go. That too is very comforting.
I love that the door is made out of wood and still reasonably priced. The door took 10 weeks to receive but it was crated and in perfect condition and as purchased.

Gorgeous Paint Job. Glad we got the paint included because it would have been such a hassle otherwise. I'm pretty picky when it comes to raised areas, splotches, or runny spots. This had none of that and looks like very well applied layers of quality paint.
It's made of real wood, looks fantastic, and opens/closes superbly. Can't even tell the bookcase is a door unless someone tells you. Takes 2-4 hours to install with two people depending how handy you are.
I think the doors look great. I figured they would have been attached considering the cost.
It took some trial and error (and several shims) to get level. But now looks and works wonderfully!
Ordered extra shelves for our door. They double checked with me to make sure of fit. They are perfect. Great customer service.
Brent, who handles the sales did a great job of helping me chose my options. If he wasn’t sure he got the guys in the factory on the phone. I paid for the expediting fee and they delivered on time. The installation video on their site didn’t show the door I had so o had to a bit of improvising. All in all a good experience.
Purchased hidden bookshelves and the order came with the wrong opening... may have been my ordering error but process was definitely not clear and it's hard to get assistance. My advice is be extra careful when ordering.

We would have to disagree with you about when you said the information was not clear as we painstakingly made sure there were several areas around the website with links and videos to describe the product which you purchased.
